RuBee active tags come in a variety of sizes and form factors, with many security, sensor and memory options. Visible Assets manufactures a wide variety of tags, designed for specific applications. Please contact us for all options.
So how much do RuBee tags cost? In high volumes (2 million) can be around $6 with ID only function and one year battery life. Add in specialized calibrated sensors and advanced waveform firmware/software, tripwire, and 20 year battery they can be as much as $5,000.00. Typical dumb tag without any special security features are $15-$35. Tags with, CPU, sub-nets, memory, security features, and custom tags with sensors $50-$125. Glossary
Dimensions: Size in inches.
Antennas: Type of antenna, determines sensitivity to de-tuning near steel and range.
Environmental: Tag materials and potted tags determine immunity to solvents and waterproof.
Reads/Writes: Number of two way reads and writes before battery dies.
Co-Planer Range: Range tag is expected to have when Rx/Tx antennas are co-planer. small tags 6-10', medium 10-30', max range is 50'
RX On: Time tag can stay in receive active state. Tags normally are in sleep mode, and come on 5-10 times a second for a few milli-seconds.
Normal Use Battery Life: Expected battery life in normal use.
Optional Sensors: Sensors that can be added to tag.
Security Options: Basic option is read and write lock, prevention of exit entry changes. Optional AES encryption, with some specialized tags that have public private key authentication.
Memory Options: Static read write memory sizes.
Attachment: How tag is mechanically attached to person or asset.
