Visible Assets Awarded $5 Million, Five-Year Weapon Shot Counter Contract by NSWC Crane
Secure RuBee IEEE 1902.1 wireless shot-counting tags for SCAR MK16/MK17 and M4 combat rifles.
STRATHAM, N.H. — Visible Assets, Inc. was awarded a five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, with a maximum value of US$5 million, for RuBee™ Weapon Shot Counter tags by the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Crane Division.
The award followed competitive Request For Proposal N0016410RJN87 “Weapon Shot Counter”, covering shot counters for the Special Operations Forces Combat Assault Rifle (SCAR) MK16/MK17 and the M4. The shot counters provide overall weapon maintenance data and help prevent catastrophic weapon failures. An initial purchase order of $637,563 was placed for RuBee ruggedized handheld readers and shot-counter tags.
The Crane program seeded what became Allegro 20/20 — weapon prognostic health management built on the Impulse Response Function captured at every shot.
